Teaching My Toddler | The Letter K

I especially love the letter K. It is the first letter of my daughters name so it is one of our favorites. We had some fun stories and a great little craft this week. And as always we love our Alphabet Notecards and the Do-a-Dot Page.

The Letter K Booklist

Love and Kisses by Sarah Wilson-This is a sweet little story about how sharing love and kisses might just make love and kisses come back to you.

Koala Lou by Mem Fox-I love this story about sweet Koala Lou. Being the oldest Koala means she got a lot of attention until the other koalas came along, she was worried about the love her mother had for her. She does her best to make her mother proud and finds out that no matter what her mom will always love her.

Kite Day by Will Hillenbrand-This is a cute simple story that went perfectly with our activity this week.

Night Knight by Owen Davey-I love this story and think it is especially perfect for little boys. I love the colors used in the illustrations and the fun storyline.

Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready For Kindergarten by Joseph Slate-This story is a really fun read, and perfect for little ones who might be getting ready for kindergarten as well.

The Letter K Printables

This week we have The Letter K Notecard and The Letter K Do-a-Dot.

The Letter K Activity

This week we glued together a little kite with some simple shaped on it. I helped my daughter attach some yarn and tie some strings on it for a little decorative touch. My favorite thing is when my daughter walks around and exclaims “I mad a kite! I made a kite!” Her pride in these simple projects is so fun!
