Who is Coming to Our House? by Joseph Slate- I love this sweet story as the animals prepare the stable for the Holy family that is coming to their house.

The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey by Susan Wojciechowski-This is one of my very favorite Christmas stories with it’s beautiful message about how the true spirit of Christmas can change our hearts and heal the pain we have experienced in this life.

The Tale of the Three Trees by Angela Elwell Hunt-The traditional folktale is also one of my very favorites. It is the story of how three trees each take part in the life of Christ, and it is very touching.

Mortimer’s Christmas Manger by Karma Wilson-This fun story helps us to remember to make room for the Christ child in our lives, and as we make room for Him, he will help us to find what we need.

A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulz-I  love the part where Charlie Brown asks what Christmas is all about and Linus shares the account from Luke 2. It is so powerful.

The First Christmas Night by Keith Christopher- This account of the Christmas Story is fashioned after Twas the Night Before Christmas. It is a lovely story with rich and gorgeous pictures.

What Can I Give Him? by Christina Georgina Rossetti-I really love the poem/song In the Bleak Midwinter, and this book takes those words and puts them to illustrations. I this it is really lovely, but it might be best read having become familiar with the song.

Who Was Born This Special Day? by Eve Bunting-This book is really lovely and a quiet read that reflects on the child who was born on this special day.
