Teaching My Toddler | The Letter I

This week we had a great time learning about the letter I. I am constantly amazed at how quickly my daughter picks up the letters and can find them on the covers of the books. It is so fun to watch her learn and grow.

The Letter I Booklist

Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein-This silly story about a chicken who keeps interrupting during the bedtime story is a fun little read.

Brave Irene by William Steig-Though this book was pretty long, it was pretty good, and I appreciated the perseverance of Brave Irene.

Ike’s Incredible Ink by Brianne Farley-This story was fun and with the trip I on the cover I had to get it for learning the letter I.

Infinity and Me by Kate Hosford-I love this story because thinking about infinity always blows my mind a little bit, I am glad I am not the only one.

This week we have the The Letter I Notecard and Do-a-Dot.

The Letter I Activity

Luckily the letter I week fell on my husbands birthday, so we decided to make ice cream this week. I made the ice cream base and refrigerated it then we brought out our awesome kitchen aid ice cream mixer and I had my daughter help me pour in the base. We watched it and checked on it as it got creamier. Finally we each got to taste a little before we put it into the freezer. It was fun and simple.
